SHAME-BASED MAN
SHAME-BASED MAN
This piece was a satirical work featuring the artist, Ray Wetzel, with the intentions of advertising the opening of his show: Shame-Based Man. Wetzel wanted something different - something obscure, so for this work I closed my laptop and got out the sharpies. I started with gathering every picture I could of Wetzel to convey his different personas through work, his personal life, and this "shame-based man" his show centered around. By drawing over and tearing the photos, I created a montage of shame and satire while maintaining some punk-analogue aesthetics. These were torn, photocopied, torn again, photocopied some more, and so on. These served as the official poster and flier for the opening of the show.
